ShockWave Kiev 2018 - conference on shock wave therapy in Kiev

On September 22, 2018 in Kiev at the National Sports Complex "Olimpiyskiy" the All-Ukrainian conference on shock wave therapy ShockWave Kiev 2018 was held. This is the first such event in Ukraine dedicated to the method of treatment - shock wave therapy (SWT). In the past 10 years, this method has been developing very rapidly and has already covered almost all the main and popular areas of medicine - cardiology, surgery, traumatology, orthopedics, neurology, urology, dentistry, dermatology, and aesthetic medicine. Even conservative osteopaths have recognized and adopted shock wave therapy, which speaks of the unique properties of the sound wave and its beneficial effect on human tissue in controlled doses.

It is very symbolic and significant that the conference was held in the Hall of Champions - the largest conference hall of the NSC Olimpiyskiy. The world's top league of shock wave therapy experts has gathered:

- President of the German and Member of the Board of the International Association for Shock Wave Therapy, a practicing surgeon, founder of his own clinic in Germany, Professor Karsten Knobloch (Carsten Knobloch),

Professor from Germany Karsten Knobloch made several reports on the multidisciplinary application of the shock wave therapy method - interesting facts and new protocols in traumatology, for example, Schlatter's disease in adolescents, from dermatology and surgery for the treatment of keloid scars and diabetic foot, interesting information on the use of shock wave therapy before surgical intervention and after it to significantly accelerate wound healing.
