The result of the treatment of periarthritis of the shoulder scapula by the SWT method. The report of the doctors of the medical center "Awatage"

Excerpt from the report of a doctor at the Awatage medical center at the 13th scientific-practical conference "Modern theoretical and practical aspects of osteosynthesis" on the topic "Application of RSWT in periarthrosis of the shoulder scapula". In preparing the report, materials from our own experience were used, as well as from doctors from Germany.
Causes of pain in the shoulder joint
- Osteochondrosis of the cervical spine;
- Adhesive capsulitis;
- Shoulder injury;
- Postponed shoulder surgery
- Hepiparesis after strokes
- Mechanical overload
- Sharp narrowing and deformation of the subacromial space
- Neuro-dystrophic syndromes
- Reactive calcinate
Effects of Radial Shockwave Therapy
- Anesthetic
- Anti-inflammatory
- Improving blood and lymph circulation
- Neoangiogenesis
- Long-term stimulation of metabolism
- Stimulation of tissue regeneration in the affected area
- Reduces pathological muscle tone
- Destruction of calcifications and their reabsorption
- Improving blood and lymph circulation
- Stimulates the regeneration of cartilage and the production of synovial fluid in the joints
Clinical manifestations and methods of objectification
- Shoulder pain.
- Limitation of the range of active movements in the joint.
- R-gram. Given the variety of causes of shoulder pain, more often pathology is not detected on X-rays, and only with tendinopathy, calcification of the rotator cuff is determined.
- Ultrasound: bursitis, changes in tendon st-ry, thinning of the cartilage of the joint.
- 10-point analogue scale of pain syndrome
- The range of active movements in the joint.
- Satisfaction with treatment
Clinical case 1 (subacromial calcinate)
Before Shock Wave Therapy

After treatment with shock wave therapy (after 1 month)

Clinical case 2 (subactromial calcinate)
Before treatment with shock wave therapy

After treatment with shock wave therapy (after 3 months)

Conclusions
- RSWT is a highly effective non-invasive method for treating shoulder pain
- Rapid relief of pain
- The procedure is performed on an outpatient basis
- Short procedure
- Monotherapy
- Long lasting positive effect
