Reports of doctors of the medical center "Awatage".

From 3 to 4 October 2014 in Berlin (Germany) an international conference on shock wave therapy was held.

The organizers of the international conference were the Institute of Sports Medicine (Germany). The venue for the conference was the famous St. Augusta Hospital, which is located on the territory of the Charite clinic in the very center of the German capital. The participants of the international conference on shock wave therapy were traumatologists, neurologists, physiotherapists, urologists, dermatologists and rehabilitologists from Europe, Asia, and North America.

At the conference in 2014, as at the previous one, which was held in 2011 in Frankfurt am Main (Germany), practitioners and scientists exchanged their experience and knowledge of the use of shock wave therapy. Leading experts, doctors from all over the world presented new methods of treating diseases using focused and radial shock wave therapy. Within the framework of the conference, scientific reports were made, master classes for practicing specialists and seminars were held.

The leading doctors of the Awatage Medical Center presented two papers (reports) that summarized the general experience of using shock wave therapy in patients in Kiev and Zaporozhye. The first presentation was devoted to comparing the effectiveness of shock wave therapy with other methods in the treatment of plantar fasciitis (heel spur). The report was made by a neurologist of the highest category of the Awatage medical center, candidate of medical sciences Sikorskaya M.V. The work was carried out jointly with the doctors of the traumatology department of the medical center of the Motor Sich enterprise (Zaporozhye).

A second scientific paper presented the effectiveness of shockwaves in reducing spasticity in stroke patients. The speaker was a neurologist of the highest category of the medical center "Awatage" Yu.K. Remenyuk. It should be noted the great interest of foreign colleagues in the content of this scientific work and the great clinical experience of their Ukrainian colleagues - the Awatage medical center.

The reports were devoted not only to the use of shock wave therapy for various diseases, but also to the diagnosis of diseases, for example, of the musculoskeletal system using ultrasound.

An active exchange of experience with foreign colleagues also took place in an informal setting in between seminars and scientific reports on shock wave therapy.

In addition to the scientific and educational part, an excellent cultural program was organized, which made it possible to get acquainted with the sights of Berlin.
